Tan Chiffon Dress

This dress was my first time working with chiffon, and it was a challenge. Thru the Unravels and snags I survived and I dont think it turned out that bad. and it was pretty cheap. The most expensive part was probably the lace, which was whit and I tea dyed. I think the total was $20.50.

That Time of the Year Again

Well. It's that time of the year again. Holiday time. I try to make the majority of my Christmas presents and I've got a few ideas for my gifts this year and this is one of them, A Cargo Scarf!!!!! Basically a scarf with pockets, I like this idea because I hate lugging my purse around, especially when I'm just going somewhere quick like the store. So with this you can stay warm and carry your keys, money, phone, iPod or whatever else with you, all at the same time. Plus they're super easy to make and only cost about 5 bucks, depending on how much you spend on fabric. This one is for my best friend, Katelyn.

Todays' yard sale find

Earlier this morning I drove past a yard sale and decided to stop and check it out. They had lots of little collectibles and fun things, but of course I head to check out the clothes. As I did so I came across this really cool Indian kurta, I loved it and snatched it up for only two dollars. its kinda big for me, but that's nothing a belt won't fix!

The sleeves are a really cool shape

There's even little pockets on both sides of the front.

Tie Dye

I have seen alot of tie dye coming back around, on both the streets and the runway. Personally I love tie dye, its so much fun and you can do it at home (for cheap!) and create your own one of a kind look. Most of the tie dye garments I've seen around are dresses but there are many things you can put the look into.

Heres a link to some easy instructions to get you started on your own tie dye masterpiece:

And if youre not into the tie dye look, you can achieve an antique look by tea dying:
